I joined Ansell as I wanted to continue my career in a large and well respected company. Ansell has both a strong heritage and positive, ambitious plans for the future – making it well grounded yet innovative and forward thinking. Being a global company, I believe that a job at Ansell opens doors to people who may be keen on working in different parts of the world and experiencing new and exciting cultures.
What makes Ansell a great company to work for?:
Ansell manages to mix the scale of a large global company with the more intimate feel of a being a small organization. To this extent, people speak of the Ansell ‘family’ – something which resonates well with employees and is rare for big companies. Furthermore, this also allows for a higher degree of autonomy and empowerment within a role at Ansell. Another great trait that I have noticed here is that emphasis is heavily placed on always growing and improving – personified by both the 2x strategy and the recent and ongoing work on improving the culture. The ruthless demand for continual improvement takes time and energy, but is essential for any successful, attractive company.
What makes your job interesting?:
Any job in sales is always going to be fast paced and demanding, throwing new challenges at you on a daily basis. I am lucky enough to work in sales in emerging markets – where those daily challenges are accentuated by cultural and linguistic barriers, geographical distance, the quickly changing macro-environment and a whole host of other industry nuances specific to frontier markets. This makes for a very interesting job, where I get to experience new cultures, meet people from every corner of the world and strive for the kind of growth opportunities that simply don’t exist in mature markets. I also get to work with experienced people who look to drive positive outcomes, which motivates me to perform at my best every day.
What advice would you give to those thinking about joining Ansell?:
I would strongly encourage people considering a job at Ansell to dive right in. The company is clearly undergoing sweeping changes at this time and that makes ‘now’ a good time to get involved – to be a part of the change and to write your own success story within it. There is a network of dedicated individuals here at Ansell who are working to make the company a highly enjoyable place to work – without neglecting the importance of employee development and strong business growth.
