Why did you join Ansell?:

When I was “hunted” by a consulting company almost 6 years ago , I was working as managing director for the German entity of a British company, selling services and computer solutions to the mainframe computer industry. After almost 25 years working in the computer business I was finally open for a move into a new business, as long as technology and innovation are the key drivers.I discovered an interesting new world; personal protection and specifically hand protection is something that touches the skin of people, is very multifarious and more technology driven than most people would think.Besides all challenges, Ansell is the key driver in the barrier protection world, the most copied glove manufacturer around the globe and a real cross border provider of protective solutions. Representing a market leader was and still is a good choice.

What makes Ansell a great company to work for?:

Ansell is a real option for someone who likes to think broad, for someone who is willing, capable and ready to take initiative and has no problem to be accountable. Ansell is no place to hide and perfectly fits for all of those individuals who are eager to learn and proof. It’s a good place for development and for sure never boring.

What makes your job interesting?:

I personally like the entrepreneurial approach; this is what the organization supports across all levels and functions, and the open yet respectful way of communication is an asset. From a daily business perspective, I like to learn about end-user applications, production processes and industrial technologies. I enjoy any kind of customer dialog, even the sometimes tough discussions with end-user procurement or the Ansell distribution network. In other words, it’s a challenging business that requires my full focus and dedication.

What advice would you give to those thinking about joining Ansell?:

Be ready for a multi cultural organization in a competing and continuously changing environment. Ansell strongly supports people who do and who take initiative, is this you?
