Sturdy disposable glove provides higher level of protection against harmful exposures for work in demanding environments

20 SEPTEMBER, 2017 - Iselin, NJ - Ansell, a global leader in safety solutions, announces the launch of Microflex 93-850, a sturdy, disposable nitrile glove that offers a higher level of protection for workers in demanding environments. This innovative new hand protection solution significantly reduces the risk of exposure to chemicals, waste, and other harmful materials because it offers superior chemical splash protection and exceeds traditional measures of disposable glove barrier quality and consistency.

Workers often need a tough disposable glove when faced with jobs like machinery repair, tool degreasing or work area cleanup. Unfortunately, many disposable gloves rip or tear easily, have small pinhole defects, or degrade quickly after contact with oils, solvents or other chemical mixtures. This increases workers’ risk of harmful exposures that can cause skin irritation or more serious, long-term health problems.

The breakthrough Microflex 93-850 is a robust hand protection solution that better protects workers in challenging jobs because it offers 2x more chemical splash protection1 and the highest barrier quality and consistency.2

  • 2x more chemical splash protection: Microflex 93-850 is made with TNT Chemical Splash Resistance Technology, a soft, durable, proprietary polymer formulation that provides superior splash protection against a wide range of chemicals. A highly advanced polymer bonding technique3 is then used to further strengthen the glove on a molecular level, enabling it to protect against many chemicals 2x longer when compared to leading brands of disposable nitrile gloves.

  • Highest barrier quality and consistency: Workers who wear gloves with pinhole defects have a greater risk of exposure, both because harmful materials can more easily reach their skin and because the presence of pinholes can cause gloves to rip and tear more easily. Gloves that have low Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL) tend to have fewer pinhole defects per lot, and higher levels of barrier quality and consistency. The new Microflex 93-850 is the first to achieve a low 0.40 AQL. This means customers can expect fewer pinhole defects, for a significantly reduced risk of harmful exposures.
