HYfLEX® 11-518 Gloves VOTED BEST CUT-RESISTANT GLOVE AND GIVEN THE  ASSE SAFETY 2013 ATTENDEE CHOICE AWARD Winning ultralight duty gloves combine cut and abrasion protection with comfort and dexterity

August 22, 2013, Iselin, NJ, - Ansell, a global leader in protection solutions, today announced that the ballots are cast and the results tallied with Ansell HyFlex 11-518 gloves declared the winner in the Cut-Resistant Glove category during the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) SAFETY 2013 Attendee Choice Awards competition, sponsored by Industrial Safety & Hygiene News. The new product competition recognizes the most innovative and cutting-edge safety equipment and services available in the global marketplace.

SAFETY 2013 attendees examined more than 70 products representing 50 exhibiting companies during the SAFETY 2013 Exposition held June 24-26 in Las Vegas. Results were announced on June 26, with winning products ranging from arc flash, foot, hand and fall protection to automated external defibrillators (AEDs), gas detectors and training courses.

Ansell HyFlex 11-518 gloves, a first-to-market ultralight cut resistant glove, attracted attendee votes with an ANSI Level 2 cut protection combined with a comfortable, multipurpose 18 gauge liner for barehand-like dexterity.

HyFlex 11-518 gloves are designed for applications involving precision handling and assembly of sharp, dry, ultra-fine parts; wire assembly; machining; stamping; and packaging that includes a risk of cut. In field trials, the gloves were preferred by nearly 70 percent of workers using heavier gloves for similar tasks, a comfort preference that correlates with compliance.

“We are proud to have HyFlex 11-518 gloves recognized among the best of the best in the ASSE Attendee Choice Awards competition,” said Bob Gaither, Senior Vice President and Regional Director – North America, Ansell. “Innovation is the hallmark of the HyFlex glove range legacy and the HyFlex 11-518 glove epitomizes Ansell’s commitment to protect workers and boost productivity by offering a lightweight glove that maximizes dexterity, tactility and protection.”
