The impact of chemical allergies for healthcare workers

As the glove wearing practice evolves and are applied by healthcare workers, glove misuse is reported as the main reason that affects hand hygiene. One form of glove misuse occurs when healthcare workers fail to remove gloves, perform hand hygiene and redon a new pair of gloves between individual patient tasks. It is also important that healthcare workers continue to undertake a proper and meaningful risk-assessment of the need for gloves prior to every episode of clinical care.
