O.R. NURSES PROTECTION: GLOVE PPE BEST PRACTICE

PROTECTING THE PERIOPERATIVE TEAM AND PATIENT FROM COVID-19

Basic infection prevention and control principals such as standard and transmission-based precautions are essential when it comes to the protection of operating room personnel from the SARS CoV2 virus. It is essential that they recognise the importance of good quality personal protective equipment (PPE), and understand the International and Regional glove Standards that exist to ensure that staffs are actually protected. Examining desired glove attributes and mitigating glove risks will ensure the comfort and safety with glove selection.

Please join Silvana Harding, Ansell Clinical Manager, as she presents to the periOperative Registered Nurses Association of the Philippines, Inc. Northern Mindanao Chapter on understanding the importance of protecting nurses with good quality personal protective equipment (PPE).
