ANSELL SHOWCASES PROTECTION INNOVATIONS AT A+A SHOW

26 October 2015 - Brussels, Belgium – Ansell, a global leader in protection solutions, will be announcing several industry firsts in protection solutions at A+A Düsseldorf. The Ansell stand (at Hall 6, J33 of the Safety, Security and Health at Work International Trade Fair) welcomes European safety managers and distributors to the unveiling of significant improvements for on-the-job safety, wearing comfort and productivity.

Ansell is the first manufacturer to test and design single-use gloves that maximize productivity by minimizing worker hand fatigue and discomfort, with ERGOFORM™ Ergonomic Design Technology. It enables Ansell to test and design single-use gloves that maximize worker productivity by minimizing hand fatigue and discomfort. Ansell gloves designed with ERGOFORM are engineered to deliver musculoskeletal support and reduce the risk of ergonomic injury caused by prolonged or repetitive manual tasks. ERGOFORM design technology is incorporated in Microflex® 93-833, Microflex®73-847 and TouchNTuff® 73-500 gloves. At A+A, Ansell will be showcasing seven new Microflex single-use gloves, two of which are ERGOFORM™ styles.

In addition to the new ergonomic AlphaTec ® 58-128, Ansell will also be showcasing two new materials of its AlphaTec isolator box glove range, one which is an extremely soft and supple formulation of the ultra-resistant synthetic glove material CSM (or Hypalon), and the other of EPDM (similar to CSM but re-sterilisable). Ansell is one of the few manufacturers to launch gloves in this expensive, high performance material and has achieved flexible formulations without compromise to resistance from chemicals, temperature extremes, and ultraviolet light. The gloves are used in applications where high integrity is important, such as vaccines and biohazards.

Ansell is launching Ansell Protects Triple Active Gel, the world’s first specialised under glove gel for workers who wear gloves. Designed and marketed in partnership with Deb, Ansell Protects Triple Active Gel’s anti-allergenic, anti-irritant and anti-perspirant properties help maintain skin health and improve wearer comfort. The gel encapsulates common workplace allergens known to cause irritation, allergic skin reactions and allergic dermatitis, helping stop them from being absorbed into the skin. Independent scientific tests have shown that Triple Active Gel reduces the rate of water loss from the skin by 63% and skin redness by 31%.

Seven new cut-resistant medium and light duty HyFlex INTERCEPT glove styles engineered with next-generation INTERCEPT Technology® yarns will also be presented at A+A. Visitors to the booth will see the gloves being “tortured” in a machine designed to mimic extreme cut injuries. INTERCEPT Technology cut resistance solutions are part of a portfolio of advanced technologies developed by Ansell, featuring an innovative new knitting technology which blends engineered, synthetic and natural fibers into high performance yarns. Ansell received a 2015 Global Frost & Sullivan Award for Technology Innovation Leadership for engineering INTERCEPT Technology into its flagship industrial glove brand, HyFlex®.

Ansell will be launching the “Feel EQUIPPED” campaign, which will promote all of Ansell’s chemical protection solutions and services. Ansell has identified the chemical portfolio as a strategic growth platform. Together with the recent product additions and product launches, this product range will be the focal point of a multi-year communication campaign. On display will be Microgard innovative range of clothing and Ansell’s range of chemical and single use gloves. Acquired in May 2015, Microgard complements Trellchem® high-end chemical protective clothing from Ansell Protective Solutions and the existing Ansell chemical protective glove range to form a world-class portfolio of chemical protection solutions. Together with the Ansell Guardian™ solution analysis capabilities to help customers improve protection and productivity in a wide-range of end user verticals.

The multi-lingual Ansell protection solutions team will be at the Ansell booth at A+A (Hall 6 Stand J33) and Ansell Body Protection booth (Hall 5, Stand F17) to welcome all visitors between 27 and 30 October 2015. More information is available on the Ansell website www.ansell.eu.
