In 2021, Ansell launched an Australian Indigenous Program to provide financial support to established programs that improve the lives of Australia’s First Nations People and align with Ansell’s values. This year, Ansell has chosen the Stars Foundation as the recipient of funding through the program.
Stars Foundation is a nonprofit organisation established in 2015 to address inequity and to improve education, health and employment outcomes for First Nations girls and young women.
Four years ago, Ansell launched the Indigenous Program by introducing unique artwork on the packaging of three HyFlex™ gloves, each themed “Land,” “Sea,” and “Sky.” This time, we are adding a new product to the program, the Micro-Touch™ Blue Nitrile range, which features a new artwork themed “Connection.” This is in line with the program’s overarching theme, “Connected Hands, Shared Light” which highlights Ansell’s commitment to collaborating with Australian Indigenous communities. It underscores the importance of working together to build a more inclusive future and preserving cultural heritage.
A percentage of the sales from HyFlexTM 11-840i, 11-561i and 11-571i, and Micro-TouchTM Blue Nitrile products in Australia will be donated to the Stars Foundation as part of this initiative. Ansell will also donate AUD $25,000 to Stars Foundation to further their mission to support and enable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls and young women to make active choices towards realising their full potential in all aspects of their development and wellbeing, while also bringing Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities together.
“This partnership reflects our drive to create positive change in the lives and communities of Australia’s First Nations People by taking tangible steps to create a meaningful impact,” said Nicolas Roux, Senior Director, Regional Sales.
