2014년 Cochrane 리뷰에서 인용된 증거에 따르면 일반 장갑에 비해 인디케이터 기능의 이중장갑은 한겹 장갑의 천공 수를 평균 90%까지 줄입니다.¹ 다른 연구에서는 이중 장갑이 의료 종사자의 수술 중 혈액 노출 위험을 6배에서 13배까지 줄일 수 있다고 밝혔습니다. ² 이중 장갑 착용이 보편적으로 권장되는 일상적인 관행이 된 강력한 이유입니다.² 대부분의 장갑 착용자는 장갑의 천공을 인식하지 못하기 때문에 일부 전문가는 이중 장갑을 일상적으로 사용하고 또한 장갑 천공 또는 파손에 대한 인디케이터 시스템을 채택할 것을 권장했습니다.³
