Red Bank, NJ – As part of its ongoing commitment to eliminate the harmful affects of allergies in the workplace, Ansell unveiled two new synthetic surgical gloves at AORN March 2011 - Derma Prene® IsoTouch® White and Derma Prene® IsoTouch® Micro White. Made of 100% synthetic polyisoprene, both gloves prevent Type I allergic reactions and are designed to reduce skin irritation and improve skin condition.
With 1 in 3 nurses suffering from hand dermatitis, Ansell has made fighting allergies its priority. In addition to preventing Type I allergic reactions, both gloves are alcohol resistant, offer damp-hand and double donnability and feature a special surface treatment to provide a greater-degree of grip. Derma Prene® IsoTouch® Micro White gloves are also ideal for delicate procedures in ophthalmic, micro and cardiovascular surgeries.
According to Taylor, the gloves also feature SureFit Technology™ which prevents cuff roll-down to deliver superior protection during operating room procedures.
