OUR EUDR COMMITMENT

At Ansell we are preparing to be fully compliant with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)

WHAT IS THE EU DEFORESTATION REGULATION?

  • Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 prohibits trade of products linked to deforestation or forest degradation
  • Applies to seven key commodities: cattle, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, rubber, soya, and wood
  • Enforcement is currently proposed to start on December 30, 2025 for most companies
  • Products sold in the EU need to be associated with commodity production geolocation and DDS (due diligence statement) reference numbers and
  • Sanctions range from ban to fines of up to 4% EU turnover

HOW DOES EUDR COMPLIANCE IMPACT ANSELL'S PRODUCTS?

  • Includes all gloves made of natural rubber latex or with natural rubber latex coating, including PPE and medical gloves
  • May include some accessories that contain natural rubber
  • Provided they are classified according to customs code 4015 or 4016

  • Requires no EUDR compliance for products placed on the EU market before effective date
  • Requires EUDR compliance for products placed on the EU market as of effective date, irrespective of the ordering date
  • Requires that products delivered in the EU have a due diligence statement number attached to them
