Ansell gloves are tested and certified in accordance with the American standard ANSI/ISEA 138, which defines performance requirements for impact protection. This standard ensures gloves meet rigorous criteria for safeguarding hands during occupational tasks, focusing on knuckle and finger impact resistance.

Scope
Ratings
The rating of the glove will reflect the lowest performance level recorded across multiple tests. Level 1 is the lowest rating for impact protection, and Level 3 is the highest.
Testing
Peak transmitted force is measured by mounting samples centrally on an anvil while a 2.5 kg mass is dropped with an impact energy of 5 J. The lower the transmitted force, the greater the degree of protection. Palm side is removed from the impact location while tests are performed on the knuckles and fingers separately.
