Delphine Guillermin in Dublin organized a beach-cleaning initiative in partnership with our Irish healthcare solutions distributor PEI. The 18-strong team from Ansell and PEI was coached by Flossie and the Beach Cleaners, a registered marine environmental charity which aims to safeguard our oceans from the devastating impact of plastic pollution. In just four hours, our eager volunteers collected 18 kg of waste from the beach, including plastic waste that can harm marine life.

Led by Va Thangameenakshi, 11 volunteers sourced 25 sets of new desks and chairs for an underprivileged government school in Perundurai in India. The children can sit four at a desk, meaning one hundred pupils benefited from this new classroom equipment. In addition to the new furniture, we also held a drawing competition on the theme of environmental sustainability. Our team was impressed by how inspired the children were by this important topic, and the young creators of the 10 winning drawings were delighted with their prizes of books.

In Australia, Andrew Andonopoulos and seven other Ansell volunteers spent the day at the Yarraville Foodbank Warehouse in Melbourne, picking and packing food orders on behalf of the Foodbank Victoria Organization. The team packed 20 orders for charity partners and 188 hampers of produce and pantry staples, all of which were sent to 450 charities who support people in need throughout the state of Victoria. In total they redistributed more than 6605 kg of food, which is the equivalent of over 13,000 meals for families in need.

A group of 16 people from Ansell volunteered for a day with Amor sem Fronteiras (Love without Borders), a non-governmental organization in São Paulo that supports single mothers and their children. They held an Easter event at one of the city’s favelas which included a recycling workshop, face-painting and bracelet-making. People in underserved areas of Brazil often don’t have access to recycling or garbage collections, so a lot of rubbish is thrown into the streets or nearby rivers. At this event, we showed children how waste items can be turned into toys, such as Easter-themed “rabbit” pencil holders made out of cardboard toilet rolls. Our volunteers also donated essential baby items to Amor sem Fronteiras to make newborn starter packs for new mums in the community.

Laresa Simpkins and Indiana de Seze from our Brussels office chose to partner with “Serve the City”, a global movement of volunteers showing kindness in practical ways to people in need. A group of 22 colleagues prepared 250 lunch bags in record time at Serve the City’s headquarters, which were distributed to an asylum seekers facility in the Brussels area. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Ansell colleagues, they collected 61 kg of food for donation to Serve the City, along with 33,000 pairs of gloves to support meal preparation and soup kitchen activities.

In Quebec in Canada, 12 volunteers from our Cowansville office got together to clean up the park on Lauder Street, just outside our Ansell office. Led by colleague Julie Chaussé, our determined volunteers collected over 20 bags of garbage in just 3 hours.

Maria Jose Peña in Colombia organised a day of tree-planting with the help of 20 colleagues from our Bogotá office. The aim of the activity, which involved planting 40 native trees in the forests of Cajicá, Cundinamarca, was to help repopulate the local forest with native species that have been lost due to land mismanagement. They planted native varieties of alder, beech, cedar, chilco, oak and cypress trees, all of which will help isolate invader species that are vulnerable to forest fires during the hot season.

In Krakow in Poland, 48 Ansell colleagues came together as the biggest volunteer group of 2025 and improved environmental diversity by planting 440 bushes and plants in a zone that was previously just grass. The activity was arranged in partnership with Zarząd Zieleni Miejskiej w Krakowie (Municipal Greenery Board in Krakow), whose experts identified the areas that most needed more floral diversity for the biggest environmental impact and a tangible ecological benefit to the local community.

A team of 12 Ansell colleagues and 15 family members planted 200 trees in one day around a public school called Benito Juarez in El Gallo, Mexico. Led by María del Carmen Islas, they partnered with Fundacion Elenita, an NGO whose goal is to plant 100,000 fruit trees in small communities in the Querétaro region by 2027. These fruit trees help families grow fruit to support themselves and the trees also provide much-needed shade. With the help of local students and their families, our team in Mexico planted avocado, peach, lemon and orange trees at the school and also around local homes.

Our team of seven volunteers from the UK and EMEA Medical Remote Team partnered with the Peacock Fly Fishing Club to spend a day planting hazel trees along the banks of the River Lathkill in the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire. The hazel tree is a native British species known for its rapid growth and strong flexible stems. The team planted 100 trees, all of which will help maintain the long-term health of the local river system by restoring in-stream habitats, stabilizing banks and supporting biodiversity along the riverbanks.

In Malaysia, 26 colleagues visited Taman Tugu in Kuala Lumpur to prepare 40 saplings for reforestation while learning more about climate change, Malaysia’s rainforests and tree-planting methods. The event was run by the Free Tree Society, a Malaysian non-profit that promotes environmental sustainability by giving away plants, educating communities and replanting native species for ecological restoration. The Ansell team ended the day much more knowledgeable about Malaysia’s rainforest and took home their new skills in identifying and planting native saplings to support their own local environment.

A total of 34 volunteers in Iselin in New Jersey partnered with Middlesex County Parks for a day of litter-picking and environmental cleanup in a local park. They collected over 20 bags of garbage, along with other debris including broken windows, glass and plastic bottles, plastic bags, mattresses, and more. Much of this trash accumulates near creeks in the park following storms and flooding, which is where the day’s cleanup efforts were focused.

Our 10 volunteers in Reno in Nevada partnered with the City of Reno to support their Junior Ranger Program, an initiative designed to promote environmental stewardship and meaningful engagement with nature for individuals of all ages. The team contributed by helping the city rangers run educational workshops, which enabled 14 participants to begin their journey in the Junior Ranger Program. They also led outdoor skill-building sessions for children and helped prepare a local park for its spring reopening by taking part in clean-up efforts.
